The National Council for Mental Wellbeing is one of the leading voices ensuring access to high quality mental health and substance use services for all. We recognize that eliminating disparities and promoting health equity is central to achieving this goal. To that end, we partnered with the newly established African American Behavioral Health Center of Excellence (AABH CoE) at Morehouse School of Medicine, funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), which is tasked with providing training and technical assistance to organizations and practitioners to address the needs of African Americans.<\/p>\n

As one of the AABH CoE\u2019s national partners, the National Council has compiled this fact sheet with information, resources and potential solutions to better address suicide among Black and African American (B\/AA) communities. This fact sheet covers:<\/p>\n
