  2. Stick to a regular, predictable schedule.
  3. Discuss difficult topics with children.
  4. Provide safe neighborhood environments.
  5. Minimize exposure to violence.
  6. Ensure age-appropriate environments.
  7. Minimize access to means of self-harm.
